Cleveland Monsters fans may feel like they’re seeing double as the name Luca continues to take the team by storm.  

Luca Del Bel Belluz, now in his third season as a Monster, has put himself within striking distance of the top ten in multiple all-time franchise stat categories, including goals, assists, and points.  

This season alone, Del Bel Belluz is one of the team's leading scorers, netting eight goals and 21 points in 19 games played.  

His AHL production becomes even more impressive when you consider the time he’s spent this season with the Monsters’ NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets. While the back-and-forth may seem stressful, Del Bel Belluz remains balanced, focused and grateful for every opportunity.   

“[I stay focused] just trying to be where I am and to be where my feet are,” said Del Bel Belluz. “Don’t get too ahead of yourself and just stay where you are.” 

It comes as no surprise that a mentality like this has aided his ability to consistently perform in any venue and to give the team an extra edge each night.  

Luca Pinelli, who made his Monsters debut in the 2025 Calder Cup playoffs, is also making a statement in his first full season with the organization.  

Currently at or near the top of Cleveland’s leaderboard in multiple categories, including points, goals, and assists, Pinelli continues to find ways to make a tangible impact in every game. It’s an effort that hasn’t gone unnoticed, particularly by the Blue Jackets, who recalled Pinelli to the big stage for the first time in November 2025. 

“Seeing what it’s like up there... It’s something I’ve obviously worked for,” said Pinelli. “[I just keep] working hard here and trying to get that end goal of sticking up there.” 

From serving as captain with his junior club, the Ottawa 67’s, to being a rookie once again, Pinelli’s focus for the year is on leading with action and putting his best foot forward each night.  

“I want to bring what I brought when I was in Ottawa... sticking to my game and doing what I can to help the team,” Pinelli said. “I think I can produce, be a leader, and be a little bit of an energy for the team.”  

Energy is an important element to how well a team can perform on the ice, and a lot of that begins with the locker room and the overall team dynamic. For both Del Bel Belluz and Pinelli, the positive dynamic of this year’s team has been elemental in their ability to perform so highly as individuals. 

“I think we’ve got a great group [of guys],” said Pinelli. “I come in every day looking forward to it.” 

Despite being leading point producers this season, both Del Bel Belluz and Pinelli maintain a similar sentiment: that they wouldn’t be able to perform half as well as they do without this team at their backs.  

“I can’t do it without my teammates and the guys here in Cleveland. I’ve said it so many times about how special it is to be here and to be playing in this city,” said Del Bel Belluz. “Obviously being with the boys and the comradery in the dressing room is really special.” 

More than that, both Lucas had high praise for Cleveland's fan-base, highlighting the energy within Rocket Arena and the fans’ commitment to the team as some of their favorite things about playing for the Monsters.  

"I think at the end of the day, just playing at Rocket Arena in front of so many fans every night is probably the most special [part of being a Monster],” said Del Bel Belluz. 

Fans will want to keep an eye on this powerhouse duo as the second half of the season unfolds. With Luca² leading the charge, there’s no telling what the future could bring.
