Monsters Take on Wolves in Rematch

In the second of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, on Friday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 7:00 pm on SportsTime Ohio, Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 5-3 home win over the Chicago Wolves on Thursday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 9-7-1-1 on the season. With 20 points, the Monsters currently rank sixth in the AHL’s North Division standings and ninth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by LW Nathan Gerbe (4-10-14), C Zac Dalpe (7-4-11) and D Andrew Peeke (4-7-11).

 

WOLVES PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-5 road loss to the Cleveland Monsters on Thursday, the Chicago Wolves enter tonight’s game at 8-11-1-0 on the season. With 17 points, the Wolves currently rank sixth in the AHL’s Central Division standings and ninth in the Western Conference. Chicago is currently led in scoring by C Lucas Elvenes (6-19-25), C Gage Quinney (6-10-16) and LW Curtis McKenzie (6-6-12).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the second of four meetings between the Monsters and Wolves this season and the second of two meetings between the two clubs at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this year. Cleveland is 1-0-0-0 vs. Chicago both overall and at home this season with a +2 goal differential (5/3) in both scenarios thus far in the season series.
