Thursday, December 4 – Pride Night
The Monsters will welcome the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to celebrate the team’s sixth annual Pride Night. Rocket Arena’s curtain wall will light up in the colors of the Pride Flag along with Pride inclusions in the Power Portal and throughout the inside of the arena.
Attendees can bid on unique memorabilia featuring the Monsters Pride logo on signed mini helmets available starting at 3:00pm on DASH. Additionally, the night’s 50/50 raffle will benefit Shelter the People Cleveland and tickets available both in person and online here. Shelter the People Cleveland designs, develops, and funds facilities for unhoused and housing-insecure residents of Cleveland, Ohio. Their mission is to assist and advocate for individuals and families who need permanent or transitional housing that is safe, sustainable, and dignified.
Allison Kwan of the Cleveland Guardians Front Office will join the night for the ceremonial puck drop. Kwan is the Manager of Engagement & Belonging with the Guardians, where she and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion department engage with Cleveland’s diverse fanbase through their annual Pride Night, Pride in the CLE, and other Community Engagement. Kwan shines through her work bringing inclusivity into the workplace and the community. The Monsters will also host guests from LGBTQ+ Lake County Allies, Colors Counseling, Stonewall Sports and PLEXUS as spotlight organizations, with Colors+ youth as the Monsters Benchwarmers.
Center Ice, the official Team Shop of the Cleveland Monsters, will offer the Monsters Pride Collection as the Item of the Game including a trucker and knit hat that will be available while supplies last. The Monsters Pride Collection will benefit the LGBTQ+ Lake County Allies, whose mission is to foster a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community in Lake County, through advocacy, compassion, education, and services.
Saturday, December 6 – Youth Hockey Game
Saturday brings youthful joy and excitement just in time for the holiday season with focus on local hockey teams and instilling a love of teamwork and sports from a young age.
