Monsters Head to Toronto to Face the Marlies

In the third of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Toronto Marlies, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs, on Tuesday with full coverage, live from Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, ON, underway at 3:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 1-3 home loss to the Charlotte Checkers on Monday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 14-15-1-2 on the season. With 31 points, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the AHL’s North Division standings and 13th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by LW Nathan Gerbe (8-17-25), D Adam Clendening (5-15-20) and C Stefan Matteau (7-9-16).

 

MARLIES PRE-SCOUT: Following a 1-6 road loss to the Laval Rocket on Saturday, the Toronto Marlies enter tonight’s game at 19-9-2-1 on the season. With 41 points, the Marlies currently rank third in the AHL’s North Division standings and fifth in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is currently led in scoring by RW Pontus Aberg (12-15-27), LW Kenny Agostino (16-10-26) and RW Jeremy Bracco (3-23-26).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Tuesday marks the third of eight meetings between the Monsters and Marlies this season and the third of four meetings between the two clubs at Coca-Cola Coliseum this year. Cleveland is 0-1-0-1 vs. Toronto both overall and on the road this year with a -3 goal differential (5/8) in both scenarios.
