Monsters Begin the Weekend at Home against the Devils

In the third of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Binghamton Devils, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, on Friday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-4 home loss to the Rochester Americans on Wednesday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 21-22-2-2 on the season. With 46 points, the Monsters currently rank eighth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 14th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by D Adam Clendening (6-25-31), C Stefan Matteau (11-15-26) and LW Nathan Gerbe (8-17-25).

 

DEVILS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 1-2 road loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Wednesday, the Binghamton Devils enter tonight’s game at 21-21-4-0 on the season. With 46 points, the Devils currently rank seventh in the AHL’s North Division standings and 13th in the Eastern Conference. Binghamton is currently led in scoring by C Brett Seney (15-22-37), RW Joey Anderson (15-19-34) and C Ben Street (13-20-33).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the third of four meetings between the Monsters and Devils this season and the first of two clashes between the two teams at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this year. 0-2-0-0 vs. Binghamton both overall and on the road this season with a -6 goal differential (4/10) in both scenarios.
