Monsters Battle the Amerks at Home

In the sixth of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Wednesday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-2 home win over the Utica Comets on Saturday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 21-21-2-2 on the season. With 46 points, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the AHL’s North Division standings and 13th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by D Adam Clendening (6-25-31), C Stefan Matteau (11-14-25) and LW Nathan Gerbe (8-17-25).

 

AMERKS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-2 road win over the Binghamton Devils on Saturday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 26-13-2-4 on the season. With 58 points, the Amerks currently rank second in the AHL’s North Division standings and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Rochester is currently led in scoring by C Jean-Sebastien Dea (13-17-30), D Zach Redmond (5-22-27) and C Andrew Oglevie (13-11-24).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Wednesday marks the sixth of eight meetings between the Monsters and Amerks this season and the third of four clashes between the two teams at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this year. Cleveland is 2-1-2-0 vs. Rochester overall this season with a-1 goal differential (14/15) and the Monsters are 0-1-1-0 vs. Rochester at home this year with a -2 goal differential (4/6).
