Game Preview: Monsters vs. Wolves 11/05

In the second of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricans, on Saturday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 7:00 pm on Bally Sports Great Lakes, FOX Sports 1350 “The Gambler”, AHLTV, and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-5 home loss to the Chicago Wolves on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 4-5-0-0 on the season. With eight standings points, the Monsters currently rank fourth in the North Division standings and tenth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by RW Emil Bemstrom (5-6-11), RW Kirill Marchenko (5-5-10), and C Brendan Gaunce (4-6-10).

 

WOLVES PRE-SCOUT: Following a 5-2 road win over the Cleveland Monsters on Friday, the Chicago Wolves enter tonight’s game at 3-3-1-0 on the season. With seven standings points, the Wolves currently rank fifth in the Central Division standings and 11th in the Western Conference. Chicago is currently led in scoring by D Anttoni Honka (1-6-7), C Josh Melnik (2-4-6), and C Jamieson Rees (1-5-6).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Saturday marks the second of eight meetings between Cleveland and Chicago this season (0-1-0-0, -3 goal differential [2/5]) and the second of four games between the two clubs at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this year.
