Game Preview: Monsters vs. Wolves 04/24

In the third of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, on Saturday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 4:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 AM “The Gambler”, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-1 road loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 11-7-1-0 on the season. With a .605 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank third in the Central Division standings and 12th league-wide. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by C Tyler Sikura (9-8-17), RW Carson Meyer (6-8-14), and C Tyler Angle (6-7-13).

 

WOLVES PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-3 road shootout loss to the Rockford IceHogs last Saturday, the Chicago Wolves enter tonight’s game at 15-4-0-2 on the season. With a .762 points percentage, the Wolves currently rank first in the Central Division standings and second league-wide. Chicago is currently led in scoring by LW Tanner Jeannot (10-11-21), RW Phil Tomasino (7-13-20), and C Tommy Novak (3-13-16).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Saturday marks the third of four meetings between the Monsters and Wolves this season (2-0-0-0) and the first of two games between the two clubs at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this year.
