Game Preview: Monsters vs. Marlies 03/06

In the sixth of six meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Toronto Marlies, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs, on Sunday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 12:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 “The Gambler”, AHLTV, and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-2 home win over the Toronto Marlies on Saturday, the Cleveland Monsters enter today’s game at 19-21-6-4 on the season. With a .480 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the North Division standings and 14th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by C Brendan Gaunce (16-12-28), D Jake Christiansen (7-21-28), and LW Tyler Angle (7-20-27).

 

MARLIES PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-4 road loss to the Cleveland Monsters on Saturday, the Toronto Marlies enter today’s game at 24-17-3-1 on the season. With a .578 points percentage, the Marlies currently rank second in the North Division standings and fifth in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is currently led in scoring by C Brett Seney (14-25-39), D Joseph Duszak (5-31-36), and F Alex Steeves (16-15-31).
