Game Preview: Monsters vs. IceHogs 03/13

In the third of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rockford IceHogs, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks, on Sunday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 3:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 “The Gambler”, AHLTV, and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 1-6 road loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter today’s game at 20-23-6-4 on the season. With a .472 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the North Division standings and 14th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by D Jake Christiansen (8-24-32), C Brendan Gaunce (16-12-28), and LW Tyler Angle (7-20-27).

 

ICEHOGS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-3 road shootout win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday, the Rockford IceHogs enter today’s game at 23-22-3-1 on the season. With a .510 points percentage, the IceHogs currently rank fourth in the Central Division standings and 10th in the Western Conference. Rockford is currently led in scoring by LW Lukas Reichel (16-22-38), D Ian Mitchell (8-17-25), and C Dylan McLaughlin (6-19-25).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Sunday marks the third of four meetings between the Monsters and IceHogs this season [(1-1-0-0), -2 goal differential (7/9)] and the first of two games between the two clubs at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this year.
