Game Preview: Monsters at Rocket 03/02

In the second of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Laval Rocket, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens, on Wednesday with full coverage, live from Place Bell in Laval, QC, underway at 7:30 pm on FOX Sports 1350 “The Gambler”, AHLTV, and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 1-2 road shootout loss to the Laval Rocket on Monday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 17-21-6-4 on the season. With a .458 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the North Division standings and 15th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by C Brendan Gaunce (16-12-28), LW Tyler Angle (7-19-26), and D Jake Christiansen (6-20-26).

 

ROCKET PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-1 home shootout win over the Cleveland Monsters on Monday, the Laval Rocket enter tonight’s game at 24-16-3-0 on the season. With a .593 points percentage, the Rocket currently rank third in the North Division standings and sixth in the Eastern Conference. Laval is currently led in scoring by LW Rafael Harvey-Pinard (10-14-24), RW Jesse Ylonen (9-14-23), and C Jean-Sebastien Dea (15-7-22).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Wednesday marks the second of four meetings between the Monsters and Rocket this season [(0-0-0-1), -1 goal differential (1/2)] and the second of two games between the two clubs at Place Bell this year.
