Game Preview: Monsters at Griffins 04/13
In the seventh of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Grand Rapids Griffins, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings, on Wednesday with full coverage, live from Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI, underway at 7:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 “The Gambler”, AHLTV, and the Monsters Hockey Network.
MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-5 road loss to the Chicago Wolves on Sunday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 24-30-8-5 on the season. With a .455 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the North Division standings and 15th in the Eastern Conference. GRIFFINS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 1-4 road loss to the Toronto Marlies on Sunday, the Grand Rapids Griffins enter tonight’s game at 29-31-6-2 on the season. With a .785 points percentage, the Griffins currently rank seventh in the Central Division standings and 14th in the Western Conference. Grand Rapids is currently led in scoring by LW Jonatan Berggren (16-34-50), LW Taro Hirose (14-33-47), and LW Turner Elson (20-21-41).
