Game Preview: Monsters at Crunch 10/29

In the third of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Syracuse Crunch, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, on Saturday with full coverage, live from Upstate Medical University Arena in Syracuse, NY, underway at 7:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 “The Gambler”, AHLTV, and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 1-5 road loss to the Utica Comets on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 3-4-0-0 on the season. With six standings points, the Monsters currently rank fourth in the North Division standings and ninth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by RW Emil Bemstrom (5-5-10), RW Kirill Marchenko (4-4-8), and C Brendan Gaunce (3-4-7).

 

CRUNCH PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-4 home overtime loss to the Toronto Marlies on Friday, the Syracuse Crunch enter tonight’s game at 1-2-1-2 on the season. With five standings points, the Crunch currently rank fifth in the North Division standings and 12th in the Eastern Conference. Syracuse is currently led in scoring by C Felix Robert (6-4-10), C Alex Barre-Boulet (2-8-10), and C Gemel Smith (3-6-9).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Saturday marks the third of four meetings between Cleveland and Syracuse this season (2-0-0-0, +2 goal differential [11/9]) and the first of two games between the two clubs at Upstate Medical University Arena this year.
