
Game Preview: Monsters at Crunch 10/29
In the third of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Syracuse Crunch, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, on Friday with full coverage, live from Upstate Medical University Arena in Syracuse, NY, underway at 7:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 AM “The Gambler”, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.
MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-3 road shootout loss to the Toronto Marlies on Sunday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 3-1-0-1 on the season. With a .700 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank second in the North Division standings and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by LW Tyler Angle (0-6-6), D Jake Christiansen (2-3-5), and C Tyler Sikura (2-2-4).
CRUNCH PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-2 road overtime win over the Hershey Bears on Wednesday, the Syracuse Crunch enter tonight’s game at 2-2-1-0 on the season. With a .500 points percentage, the Crunch currently rank fifth in the North Division standings and 11th in the Eastern Conference. Syracuse is currently led in scoring by C Jimmy Huntington (5-0-5), LW Charles Hudon (2-2-4), and C Gabriel Dumont (2-2-4).
REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the third of eight meetings between the Monsters and Crunch this season (1-0-1-0) and the first of four games between the two clubs at Upstate Medical University Arena this year.

- ROSTER MOVES: On Tuesday, Monsters D Gavin Bayreuther was recalled by Columbus before the Blue Jackets assigned RW Justin Danforth to Cleveland on Thursday. Also on Thursday, the Monsters recalled D Giovanni Vallati from the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings and assigned G Jet Greaves to Kalamazoo.
