Game Preview: Monsters at Americans 11/13

In the second of ten meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Saturday with full coverage, live from Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, underway at 6:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 AM “The Gambler”, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-3 road win over the Rochester Americans on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 5-2-1-3 on the season. With a .636 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank second in the North Division standings and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by LW Tyler Angle (0-10-10), D Jake Christiansen (3-6-9), and C Brendan Gaunce (4-3-7).

 

AMERICANS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-4 home loss to the Cleveland Monsters on Friday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 6-4-0-0 on the season. With a .600 points percentage, the Americans currently rank third in the North Division standings and fifth in the Eastern Conference. Rochester is currently led in scoring by RW Jack Quinn (8-6-14), LW Michael Mersch (6-5-11), and RW JJ Peterka (2-9-11).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Saturday marks the second of ten meetings between the Monsters and Americans this season (1-0-0-0) and the second of five games between the two clubs at Blue Cross Arena this year (1-0-0-0). Cleveland boasts a +1 goal differential (4/3) both overall and on the road vs. Rochester this season.
