Game Preview: Monsters at Americans 11/11

In the first of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Friday with full coverage, live from Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, underway at 7:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 “The Gambler”, AHLTV, and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 5-2 home win over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 6-5-0-0 on the season. With 12 standings points, the Monsters currently rank third in the North Division standings and eighth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by RW Emil Bemstrom (7-7-14), RW Kirill Marchenko (6-6-12), and C Brendan Gaunce (4-7-11).

 

AMERICANS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-1 home win over the Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 7-4-0-0 on the season. With 14 standings points, the Americans currently rank second in the North Division standings and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Rochester is currently led in scoring by C Brandon Biro (3-9-12), LW Lukas Rousek (4-7-11), and RW Linus Weissbach (6-4-10).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the first of eight meetings between the Monsters and Americans this season and the first of four games between the two clubs at Blue Cross Arena this year.
