About Trent
Trent Vogelhuber has been with the Cleveland Monsters organization for eight seasons and four as Head Coach. He was named head coach in June 2022 after serving four seasons as an assistant coach from 2018 to 2022.
Vogelhuber is the longest tenured coach in Monsters franchise history with a .556 win percentage over 288 regular season games. Under his leadership, the Monsters posted the North Division’s best record during the 2023-24 season and made three consecutive appearances in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Vogelhuber also coached the North Division at the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic.
Vogelhuber was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the seventh round (211th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He played seven seasons in the AHL, including with the Monsters during their 2015-16 Calder Cup championship season. He played four seasons of college hockey at Miami (OH) University, where he contributed to two Frozen Four appearances and helped secure both a CCHA regular season and tournament championship. He finished his collegiate career with 51 points in 149 games.
Vogelhuber is a native of Northeast Ohio and grew up in Dublin.
