About Tommy
Tommy Cross is entering his first season as Development Coach with the Cleveland Monsters. Cross joined the Columbus Blue Jackets organization in August 2023 after a 12-season professional playing career as a defenseman.
Cross played 588 AHL games with the Springfield Thunderbirds, Providence Bruins, and Cleveland Monsters from 2011 to 2023, recording 230 points and serving as a captain or alternate for seven seasons, including as alternate captain for the Monsters in 2018-19. He also appeared in three NHL games with the Boston Bruins during the 2015-16 season. Cross was selected by Boston in the second round (35th overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft.
A native of Simsbury, Connecticut, Cross played college hockey at Boston College, totaling 60 points in 134 games and winning NCAA championships in 2010 and 2012.
