About Chris
Chris Bergeron is entering his second season with the Cleveland Monsters as Associate Coach. Bergeron joins the organization after five seasons as head coach at Miami (OH) University (2019–24), and nine seasons as head coach at Bowling Green State University (2010–19). He previously served as an assistant coach at Miami from 2000–10.
As a player, Bergeron was a centerman from Wallaceburg, Ontario. He played college hockey at Miami (OH) from 1989–93, serving as team captain for two seasons Bergeron then had a seven-year professional career (1993–2000) in the IHL, ECHL, CHL, UHL, and AHL, appearing in 424 games and recording 483 points (201 goals, 282 assists). He won league championships with the Toledo Storm (ECHL, 1994) and Columbus Cottonmouths (CHL, 1998).
