About Brad
Brad Thiessen is entering his fourth season with the Cleveland Monsters as Goaltending Development Coach. Thiessen joined the organization in June 2021 after a 12-season professional playing career as a goaltender.
Thiessen appeared in 290 career AHL games, posting a 146-100-40 record, 2.51 goals-against average, .909 save percentage, and 28 shutouts. He spent his final six seasons as a player with the Monsters. Thiessen also played five NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2011-12 season, recording a 3-1-0 record.
A native of Aldergrove, British Columbia, Thiessen played college hockey at Northeastern University, where he was named Hockey East Player of the Year and a Hobey Baker Award finalist in 2009.
