About Ben
Ben Eaves is entering his seventh season with the Cleveland Monsters as Strength and Skills Coach. Eaves joined the organization in 2019, following a nine-year professional playing career in the AHL, ECHL, and Europe, including time with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Milwaukee Admirals, and Jokerit in Finland.
Eaves played college hockey at Boston College, where he served as team captain, was a two-time All-American, and helped the team win the 2001 NCAA national championship. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fourth round (131st overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
After his playing career, Eaves held strength and conditioning roles with Jokerit, St. Olaf College, and Miami University. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College, a master’s in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
