KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • HITTIN’ THE HIGHWAY: Friday’s 4-3 road shootout win over the Rochester Americans marked the start of the first of three ‘three-in-three’ stretches of three games in three days for the Monsters. On Saturday and Sunday, Cleveland will travel to Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, ON for a pair of 4:00 pm clashes vs. the Toronto Marlies. In January, the Monsters will play in Binghamton, Hershey and Lehigh Valley on three consecutive days from the 10th to the 12th and in February, Cleveland travels to Grand Rapids, Rockford and Chicago from the 14th to the 16th.
  • MARVELOUS MATTEAU: Cleveland’s leader in goals so far this season is C Stefan Matteau who signed a one-year AHL contract with the Monsters this summer. After enduring healthy scratches in the first two games of the season, Matteau scored in his season debut, a 2-1 home win over the Syracuse Crunch on October 11th and added a pair of goals in the Monsters’ 4-3 road shootout win over the Rochester Americans on Friday.
  • HOME AWAY FROM HOME: The Monsters have begun their road schedule with a three-game winning streak (3-0-0-0) this season while the team is winless at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (0-2-0-0).
