Monsters Hit the Road for Midweek Match Up Against Rochester

In the first of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Wednesday with full coverage, live from KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-8 home loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 7-4-1-0 on the season. With a .625 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank second in the AHL’s North Division standings and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Zac Dalpe (12-7-19), LW Eric Robinson (5-7-12) and LW Paul Bittner (2-7-9).

AMERICANS PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 4-1 road win over the Hershey Bears on Saturday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 8-3-1-0 on the season. With a .708 points percentage, the Americans currently rank first in the AHL’s North Division standings and second in the Western Conference. Rochester is led in scoring by D Zach Redmond (8-8-16), RW Victor Olofsson (6-10-16) and D Lawrence Pilut (2-13-15).

SEASON SERIES: Wednesday marks the first of eight meeting between the Monsters and Americans this season and the first of four home games for Rochester between the two teams this season, despite Wednesday’s game coming at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY, home of Rochester’s NHL affiliate, the Buffalo Sabres.
