Monsters Head to Rochester to Take on the Americans

In the second of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Friday with full coverage, live from Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-2 road win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Saturday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 13-9-3-0 on the season. With 29 points, the Monsters currently rank third in the AHL’s North Division standings and eighth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Zac Dalpe (13-12-25), LW Nathan Gerbe (5-14-19) and LW Eric Robinson (9-8-17).

AMERKS PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 1-5 home loss to the Binghamton Devils on Wednesday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 16-7-2-0 on the season. With 34 points, the Amerks currently rank first in the AHL’s North Division standings and second in the Eastern Conference. Rochester is led in scoring by D Zach Redmond (14-9-23), LW Victor Olofsson (9-13-22) and LW C.J. Smith (7-12-19).

SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the second of eight games between the Monsters and Americans this season and the first of three meetings between the two teams at Blue Cross Arena this year.
