KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • SONNY’S BACK: The Monsters will be buoyed on Sunday by the arrival via assignment of LW Sonny Milano from the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets. A former first-round draft choice (Columbus 2014, 16th overall), Milano posted 1-0-1 in eight appearances for the Blue Jackets this season and helped the Monsters claim the 2016 Calder Cup as AHL Playoff Champions.
  • FAMILIAR FACE: So far this season, Grand Rapids’ second-leading scorer is C Carter Camper. A Cleveland-area native, Camper posted 13-29-42 in 53 appearances in a Monsters uniform last season.
  • TERRIFIC TOP TRIO: The Monsters’ top line, comprised of C Zac Dalpe, LW Eric Robinson and RW Paul Bittner is off to a torrid pace to start the 2018-19 season. Not only are Dalpe (10-5-15), Robinson (5-6-11) and Bittner (2-7-9) the top three scorers on Cleveland’s roster so far this season, their combined production of 17-18-35 accounts for 47% of the Monsters’ goals this season and nearly 39% of the team’s total points.
