Monsters Go Head to Head with Crunch on Home Ice

In the first of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Syracuse Crunch, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, on Friday with full coverage, live from The Q, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-5 home overtime loss to the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 10-7-3-0 on the season. With 23 points, the Monsters currently rank third in the AHL’s North Division standings and sixth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Zac Dalpe (13-10-23), LW Eric Robinson (9-7-16) and LW Nathan Gerbe (3-13-16).

CRUNCH PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 3-0 road win over the Springfield Thunderbirds on Saturday, the Syracuse Crunch enter tonight’s game at 11-5-1-0 on the season. With 23 points, the Crunch currently rank second in the AHL’s North Division standings and fifth in the Eastern Conference. Syracuse is led in scoring by RW Cory Conacher (9-16-25), C Carter Verhaeghe (7-12-19) and LW Andy Andreoff (9-7-16).

SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the first of four meetings between the Monsters and Crunch this season and the first of two clashes between the two teams at Quicken Loans Arena this year.
