Monsters Continue Homestand Against Milwaukee

In the third of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Nashville Predators, on Sunday with full coverage, live from The Q, underway at 3:00 pm on SportsTime Ohio, Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-2 home overtime win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter today’s game at 25-23-6-1 on the season. With 57 points, the Monsters currently rank sixth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 12th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by LW Nathan Gerbe (10-22-32), C Zac Dalpe (17-14-31) and C Mark Letestu (13-17-30).

ADMIRALS PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 2-3 road overtime loss to the Cleveland Monsters on Friday, the Milwaukee Admirals enter today’s game at 23-21-10-1 on the season. With 57 points, the Admirals currently rank sixth in the AHL’s Central Division standings and ninth in the Western Conference. Milwaukee is led in scoring by LW Adam Helewka (16-22-38), LW Anthony Richard (18-18-36) and LW Cole Schneider (15-18-33).

SEASON SERIES: Sunday marks the third of four meetings between the Monsters and Admirals this season and the second of two clashes between the two clubs at Quicken Loans Arena this year.   • D-CORPS ADDITIONS: The Monsters enjoyed an influx of defensive assistance this week with the return from Columbus of Adam Clendening on assignment on Saturday, the Thursday recall from ECHL Florida of Justin Wade and the assignment to Cleveland on Friday of Julius Bergman following his acquisition via trade by the Blue Jackets from the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.
  • SINKING THE ADMIRALS: Cleveland C Mark Letestu leads all Monsters skaters in scoring vs. Milwaukee this season with three points (2G, 1A) in two appearances vs. the Admirals this season. Letestu is additionally in the midst of a three-game assist and points streak (0-4-4).
  • DALPE’S BACK: Cleveland C Zac Dalpe returned to the Monsters’ lineup on Friday following a season-long 14-game injury absence and promptly chipped in a pair of goals, including the overtime winner in a 3-2 extra-time victory over the Milwaukee Admirals at The Q.
