Monsters Begin 'Three in Three' with TMNT Rematch in Rochester

In the seventh of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Friday with full coverage, live from Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-3 road overtime loss to the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 30-26-7-1 on the season. With 68 points, the Monsters currently rank fifth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 11th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Zac Dalpe (23-18-41), C Mark Letestu (17-20-37) and LW Nathan Gerbe (10-22-32).

AMERKS PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 3-1 road loss to the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 39-20-3-2 on the season. With 83 points, the Amerks currently rank second in the AHL’s North Division standings and third in the Eastern Conference. Rochester is led in scoring by LW Victor Olofsson (24-29-53), LW C.J. Smith (22-29-51) and D Zach Redmond (21-28-49).

SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the seventh of eight meetings between the Monsters and Amerks this season and the fourth of four clashes between the two clubs at Blue Cross Arena this year. So far this season, Cleveland shows a record of 1-4-1-0 vs. Rochester overall with a -9 goal differential (11/20) and the Monsters are 0-3-0-0 vs. the Amerks on the road this season with a -7 goal differential (5/12).
